We had 5 hikers come out to snowshoe for the first Wednesday this season. The weather forecast predicted snow and it was correct. We had a light snow falling on us almost the entire time.
A little before 10:00 AM, we headed down Buck Prairie Road and tried our best to stay to the right of the ski tracks. Unfortunately, many skiers make their track so far to the right that the only place we could stay right is if we snowshoed in the ditch.
When we reached the bathroom, we did a wardrobe change. From there, we headed down road 38-3E-29. We made a right turn on road 38-3E-29.1 and headed down the hill. We had a few trees to go around or over. We curved around to the right and then made the turn at the blue diamond and came to the big log where we had half a Hank lunch.
From there we headed uphill back to the 38-3E-29 road and circled back up to the bathroom. We met some ladies who were thankful that we were mindful of the ski tracks. As we were traveling back along Buck Prairie Road, we had a couple men on skis also thanked us for being so mindful of the ski tracks.
We were back to our cars by 1:00 PM and headed back to Ashland.
